The Press and Journal is the first-choice read for people in its circulation area, beating all of its rivals in terms of sales penetration and readership.
Published six days a week, The Press and Journal’s circulation area covers Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, Moray, Inverness and the Highlands and Islands. The Press and Journal also keeps readers up-to-date online and on its app with breaking news, features and comment.
Our aim is to remain local and relevant to our readers with our content, whilst also including national and international news. We carry weekly supplements, including Your Home, Your Car and our weekend special P&J Weekend. We also publish occasional, quarterly and monthly supplements, including our Energy Voice supplement. Energy Voice appears each month and covers all aspects of the oil, gas and renewables industry, which is the major employer in the north-east.
From farming to housing, energy to healthcare, The Press and Journal provides trusted journalism to the industries that matter to their communities. These are well-covered in our comprehensive Business and Farming pages. The Press and Journal offers in-depth coverage into golf, Shinty, Aberdeen FC, and is proud to be the home of Highland League football. Our award-winning sports show "Highland League Weekly" airs every Monday during the season. In print, readers enjoy The Score, our sports pull-out every week.
The Press and Journal has an array of award-winning podcasts from true crime thrillers to Scottish politics. You can discover and listen to all our podcasts here, or on Apple, Google, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts. Plus, The P&J has a fun suite of daily puzzles to train your brain.
The P&J doesn't just report on its communities; it gives back, too. The P&J Community Fund fundraises for local charities that transform lives and strengthen our communities. These charities are voted in by our readers, whom we keep updated with the fund's achievements.
